ABOUT THE RONALD JOHNSON PAGES

Shortly before his death in March, 1998, Ronald Johnson asked me to be his literary executor. These
Ronald Johnson pages are meant to serve as a site of information about his life & work, & as a place to
make contact with the Literary Estate.
Ronald Johnson’s papers are currently held in the
Kenneth Spencer Research Library at the Libraries of
the University of Kansas, in Lawrence. These amount to roughly half of the poet’s papers. The remainder
of the papers are currently in the possession of the Literary Estate.
Additionally, the
Poetry Collection at the State University of New York at Buffalo the papers of Jonathan
Williams, which include some RJ letters, manuscripts, & other papers.
Most recently,
Flood Editions has published a collection of last poems, The Shrubberies (2001), & has
reprinted
Radi os (2005), RJ’s rewriting-through-excision of Milton’s Paradise Lost. In the near future,
Flood Editions will publish
The Outworks, a collection of late work.
